Yannis Sarakatsanis: Actor, Director, YouTuber

After a failed attempt to study mathematics at the University of Patras, he managed to study acting at the “Contemporary Theatre Athens” and physical theatre at the “School of Physical Theatre” in London. In 2004, he founded the theater group AbOvo, with notable works including: “There, there in Hell”, “Mama Greece 2”, “The Foundation”, and “The Planet”, with which they also won the first prize at the BE Festival in Birmingham in 2010. From 2008 to 2019, he was the artistic director of the youth theater festival: Bob Theatre Festival. He has participated in more than 50 theatrical works as an actor, director, or writer and has been nominated twice for the “Koun” award, once for the “Athinorama” award but has yet to win anything… Additionally, he does improvisation, stand up comedy, acting workshops, and since 2020, he also has a successful YouTube channel where he humorously examines topics in philosophy, psychology, and science.
