{"id":26545,"date":"2021-03-28T19:57:50","date_gmt":"2021-03-28T16:57:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/old.athens-science-festival.gr\/en\/?p=26545"},"modified":"2021-03-28T20:58:38","modified_gmt":"2021-03-28T17:58:38","slug":"despoina-chalvatzi-georgios-megas-dionissis-mavraganis-social-innovation-in-crisis-management","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.old.athens-science-festival.gr\/en\/old-news-en\/despoina-chalvatzi-georgios-megas-dionissis-mavraganis-social-innovation-in-crisis-management\/","title":{"rendered":"Despoina Chalvatzi &#8211; Georgios Megas &#8211; Dionissis Mavraganis | Social Innovation in crisis management"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If innovation is useful, then social innovation -which \u201cbridges\u201d the results of scientific innovation with the actual needs of the society- should be twice as that.<\/p>\n<p>During their talk at the <strong>Athens Science Festival<\/strong> platform, <strong>Despoina Chalvatzi<\/strong>, SciFY\u2019s Programme &amp; Project Manager,\u00a0<strong>Georgios Megas<\/strong>, Triple Transition &amp; Innovation Manager, and\u00a0<strong>Dionissis Mavraganis<\/strong>, I\u03a4 consultant, Social Entrepreneur will demonstrate the great importance of social innovation in critical crisis management.<\/p>\n<p>By\u00a0describing the reaction to a real tragedy for Greece, the devastating fire at Mati, where more than a hundred people perished, the distinguished speakers will highlight the proposals and solutions of <strong>Fireathon<\/strong>, a social innovation initiative whose goal is to prevent the spread of fires through citizen cooperation. According to the speakers, the\u00a0solutions of the Fireathon are now ready to be implemented. In doing so, we can learn from our mistakes, and such tragedies will never happen again.<\/p>\n<p>The discussion is supported by<strong>\u00a0Bayer Hellas<\/strong> and will be monitored by journalist <strong>Yannis Rizopoulos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Despoina Chalvatzi is SciFY\u2019s Programme &amp; Project Manager. She has successfully initiated a series of educational seminars on a monthly basis, SciFY Academy. Since then, she is also responsible for the organization of the company\u2019s events. She has experience as Project Manager (Erasmus +, EEA Grants, etc) while also contributing to fundraising and marketing actions. Finally, she is responsible for issues of social impact, accountability and transparency.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u039cr. Georgios Megas is a Triple Transition &amp; Innovation Manager and the Greek National Contact Point for ICT &amp; EIC in H2020 at the National Documentation Centre. He is the Cordinator of EIT Health HUB for Greece and an Innovation advisor for the Enterprise Europe Network. MrMegas supports social innovation and is the leader of the Fireathon winning team WTFire.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Dionissis Mavraganis is a senior developer, data analyst, and IT consultant. He is an amateur private pilot, musician and writer. He loves to innovate and evolve. He voluntarily offers services at clubs and teams in development and implementation of innovation ideas.
