Is it possible to grasp scientific topics, while having a smile on our face? How can we contribute to making science more accessible to the general public?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The team of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sciencereactors.gr\/Science_Reactors_Home_(en).html\"><b>Science Reactors<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> provides unique answers to those questions <\/span><b>on-stage<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with a witty and unconventional style! The idea originated from <\/span><b>Eleni Grammatikopoulou<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, who has dedicated 30 years of work to Science Communication. In 2014, she aimed to showcase an alternative aspect of science by establishing the innovative <\/span><b>Science Reactors team<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Talented young scientists from diverse scientific backgrounds present science in a different way through <\/span><b>Stand Up Science<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (performances inspired by stand-up comedy) and <\/span><b>Science on Stage<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (scientific theater)!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, they adapted their scripts in order to make science more appealing to young audiences, for the first time, creating the action <\/span><b><i>Stand Up Science kids<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At <\/span><b>ASF23<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, they will present their new Stand up <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><\/i><b><i>Face to Face Science<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, adapted to the festival\u2019s theme. Endowed with talent in Science Communication, but primarily driven by a passion for science itself, Science Reactors will get on the stage of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.old.athens-science-festival.gr\/en\/\"><b>Athens Science Festival<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and make challenging scientific concepts understandable through stories of everyday life. Stories filled with humor, without it becoming the sole purpose of the performance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The participants are<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Konstantinos Peristeris (Gynecologist), Konstantinos Antonaropoulos (Department of Philosophy, NKUA), who will also be the presenters.
